Mimi's New Life

A year have past, living a normal life is quite different than being forced of doing spmething that we hate.

Since the day I ran away from home, I have been working hard start a life from zero. I can be counted as an independent girl (or maybe woman). For this whole year, for the first time I feel such freedom, doing something I always dream to do. I have lost a lot of chance, but lucky that I still get in contact with my friends and start fangirling to Korean oppas "again". To be honest, listen to their songs make me happy, on the other hand, I lose my chance for my music career after the surgery on my right ear which was badly infected. My other option for career is becoming a translator, doing pretty good and have a great salary. Everyone in the company are great, because most of them are at China, I am with my own manager in Indonesia to focus and open new branch here.

My life totally change 180 degree after I separated from my family, but I am still worried about little things. No matter how disappointed I am towards them, they are still my family. I always know both my mother and my only little brother are both hot-headed, which worries me if they suddenly fight about something that nobody understands, the victim here will be my mother because she never know how to handle his emotion. Since my brother was 4 years old, he can tell a lie and hurt his classmates, mother never knew he can tell lie. I am used to get hit by my mother and brother, which hurts a lot...... He does have stronger strength than mom, well younger people are always stronger than the elders. On the other way round, elders are wiser than young people. For me, it just basically starting from zero again, luckily has experience my worst by carrying what labourers do. At a young age, how mom treat me was different from how she treat my younger brother. I can't just basically say they are my 'family', because I am originally being left alone outside somewhere, but I still feel greatful they let me stay for this 21 years with them and getting knowledge.

My current job is stable as a personal assisstant and chinese translator, but people do believe there is always up and down. Getting cursed by your manager always happen, but outside office we get along like sisters with different worlds because feeling a bot like her own tour guide and companion. Sometimes her words do hurt my feeling, always forcing to keep asking what happen between the cooperation with customs problem, we do answer her many times but she wouldn't believe.

On the other hand, as a kpop fangirl for after 10 years, it feels so different. For the first time I went to Seventeen's 《Ode To You》Concert, everthing was like 'Damn'...... Can't move on until now. It was totally breath-taking and their auras are superb. I, as a beginner for the concert thing, am lucky to meet my primary school friend and enjoy it together with some other new friends randomly from line square. Listen to their song, honestly I don't understand what it means, but after reading the translation lyrics, it warms my heart. I may not be able to play piano anymore, but my hearing are still good to hear them mixing their final music and becoming MVs. How they mix the audio and do the recordings for hours or days, I know how that felt. I've learnt a little about music production, but never touch it. I do feel regret for not being able to go back during those days, making people happy through music, writing my own songs, doing my own music arrangements and other stuffs. It feels that music is part of my life since I was 3 and after 18 years its gone, my heart feels empty. At least, nothing probably go wrong as a fangirl right? I still can listen to other people's songs.

A Day After the Concert:
[17 November 2019]
          After attend Seventeen's Kpop concert for the first time (16 November 2019), I couldn't move on. That night I dream about me, being Joshua's best friend and he introduce me to his group member. I felt awkward for the first time, but Hoshi always break the silence and have fun with everyone. That time my eyes caught Woozi staring straight deeply to my eyes, feels like piercing into my soul, I could feel butterfly in my stomach. Then we broke our eye contact as Seungkwan ask me if I have ever attend their concert, well I said I never attend one and no bongs with me. Joshua suddenly handed me a VIP ticket of their concert, which shocked me and I felt like crying and they gave me hugs until I faced Woozi. He handed me a new carat bong and said that I could have it to myself and he blushed. Other member see what happens and bullied Woozi for being soft with me and not them, I could only laughed, which made Woozi smile even brighter.

            After attending their concert, we were spending time with one another. Woozi, who always spend his time alone, joined us which made other members surprised by his action. It seems funny when I had to see him do aegyo beside me and I love how he produce music. He see that I am interested in music production and brought me to his room and show me all his works about producing and his lyrics for their upcoming songs. We get along pretty well and quick since our interest are mostly similar. Hoshi would always disturbed both of our times together, which made Woozi a little annoyed. It seems cute when he blame Hoshi about disturbing our times together, which made Hoshi asked him a question "Are you trying to hit on her? If yes, I'm gonna tell Josh Hyung". This made Woozi face blushed really hard, I couldn't even imagine it so cute and wanted to pinch his chubby cheeks.


After 5 Months:
[8 April 2020]
            I was dead tired about my job, facing the customs because of the Corona Virus thing, I also had to go out and check on the warehouse and the status about the cargo which has not being confirmed. It stressed me out, so I decide to listen to Seventeen songs which made me relax and fell asleep.

            I couldn't believe that I dreamt of meeting them again as a lucky fan. This time I dreamt attending their fanmeet, but the system seems having a trouble, so the security let me pass as a lucky one. I could go backstage and meet them at their dressing room. I was too excited that tears were coming out and I seem like a fool asking for a permission to hug my 2 bias, Woozi and Hoshi. Hoshi was so excited and squeezed me tightly, I couldn't stop hugging him until I faced Woozi. His face seems like not in a mood, but after a second, his face turned soft and looked like a pampered kid hugging his mom, which was so cute that I didn't want to let go. After the hugs, Woozi held my hand all the time when I was talking to other members. I even told Wonwoo and Mingyu about my friend, who is crazy over them, and made them blush really hard. Until the time is up, I had to separate with them but Woozi wouldn't want to let go my hand, which was still interwined with his. Other members laughed really hard of how he acted when I was about to leave. I told Woozi that I promised I will attend every events that they will prepare in the future. He brightens up and we made a pinky promise.

                    Do you really know the truth about yourself?

Real story happen:
                    Mimi came from a very poor family and was unwanted by all her family and throw her outside with some old clothes to cover her. Everybody in her family said that she is an "illegitimate child", her mother didn't know what to do and met a lawyer who was willing to take care of her. At that time, the lawyer had 2 sons and couldn't take care of Mimi well, so Mr lawyer called his friends to gather and discuss who would like to take care of her. Most people wanted to take care of her, but Mr lawyer decided to give Mimi to his best friend's wife, a successful businesswoman (let's just call her Mrs R). Mrs R accepted Mimi and persuade her family to accept Mimi's existence, but Mrs R's eldest brother denied and left.

                     All years had past, Mimi met Mr lawyer on her 4th birthday. She enjoyed her childhood with her unrelated cousins and secrets hidden by her family. She was a sweet innocent girl, knew nothing that matters, but bad lucks did happen to her all the times. Most of it was because of her uncle's accusation and keep bad-mouthing her, also if she did a little mistake, she got hit by her mother, Mrs R. Mrs R is a very temperamental and hot-headed woman, she wants to be the best of the best from all people around her, so that noone would dare to look down upon her. On the other hand, Mimi loves the people around her no matter what race or religion they are, she respect everybody. She doesn't care if they had hurt her feelings, but she always put a happy smile for them. All her gadgets, hobbies and friendships are controlled by Mrs R, she feels a lot of pressure around her mother, that is why she always fall sick without anybody notice her. She never care about her health, all she think is to make everyone smile, but her mother and uncle always call her "the Unlucky Child". She was forced to quit her university studies and worked for her. She was doing all the work, house chores and teaching her younger brother alone (no maids, no tutor, no staff). Everytime, she had to stay up late and wake up early. Well, I think people do face unlucky situation, but not to blame the child for bringing them the unwanted situation. Mimi suffered from squatting too long, too much pressure and work, also she never eat her meal on time. When she had a fever, she suffered a lot, but never want to let anybody know her weak side. She followed what Mrs.R want and never knew something would had happen. She was forced to be engaged to someone who she didn't recognized, just to build a business relationship. She felt the atmosphere was so heavy and couldn't help to face the truth. At those times, her headache always come to her which made her eyes blurry and dizzy. She couldn't help facing what she had to do by forcing herself.

                   On the 4th day of CNY, She ran away from home to her and went to Mr Lawyer. She was told all the truth which they had been keeping a secret from her. Her real name, everything about her. Mrs.R was making all up as fake identity, so noone can take her away. At the same time, her ear was infected badly and had to operate, which cause her to hurt a little from her hearing. She wouldn't dare to continue composing her songs, since she lose her motivation to do it. She decided to keep her mind busy and think how to break off her forced engagement. She never thought she could live, when she had her extreme diet with Mrs.R, which almost lead her to death (at that time, she fainted for not eating for 2 days and wasn't breathing). She always had a thought which feels like Mrs.R cursed her "If I had a stroke, you will be blame for my death by everyone and they will hate you for life". She couldn't stop thinking, even she worked so hard to keep her mind busy. She is blamed for spreading the fake rumors, while she just kept quiet about everything.

                  She has a stable job and teach tutor now, although people think that she is happy, but she still can't stop thinking about Mrs.R words, which always hurt and scare her. She also blame herself for not being with her friend, who had past away. She may look happy and tough, but she really need someone who she can trust the most. Let's just pray that everything will go well and nothing bad comes.
